Glamping delight – bathing under the sky

A slam dunk I think the Americans would call it. Glamping and Bathing in hot tubs. Boom! Why didn’t we see it before?

It was all in aid of our Zubrowska event last week when three stunning wood burning hot tubs appeared as if by magic in the middle of the garden accompanied by the lovely Alexandra and the amazing Bart.

Beautifully crafted things they are, made out of Western red Cedar and gently heated by wood burning stoves under the water.

As part of an event they were a great success; really busy during the afternoon with people jumping in and out through into the evening and having enormous fun.

But then it went quiet. Really quiet. Revellers went to bed and silence returned to the forest.

Just a gentle lapping of water as you climb into the tub.

Slightly surreal as you float effortlessly in the luxuriously warm water, staring up at the stars and listening to the owls hooting across the forest.

For a moment, a brief moment, there is a pause and it’s perfect.

Sshhhh….

The next day? Gone. Just like that. A hazy dream that dissipated with the morning mist and we were left wondering whether it had really happened at all.

We could do it again though.

No, we will do it again!
