My Mum always said “If you can find your way through the kitchen when you’re cooking steak, the pan’s not hot enough!

Well, that was then and this is now. The result is still the same – if you can find your way through our kitchen when we’re cooking steak, the pan is still not hot enough – but it’s the bit before that’s different.

Here’s how it works.

Gently warmed for 12 hours in a warm water bath, 9ozs of best sirloin is carefully lulled into a false sense of security before we fire up a rocket stove or the barbecue to a massive 500°C and sear it to within an inch of its previous life!

We add in our very lovely Gaucho Salad, grilled baked potato skins, a red wine reduction or some gently saluted mushrooms and garlic. Then we wash it down with a lovely glass of ‘Domus’ – the house wine.

Hey presto, Best Beef Ever!

Does what it says on the tin!

And the price of this feast?  £18.95 a head – some would pay it just to see us prove the rocket stoves work!!
